Get Involved

There are many ways you can get involved with SMCOAD and many benefits of participating within our organization.  You may also search for and sign up for volunteer opportunities by visiting VolunteerMaine.org.

Membership

Here is how you can get involved as a member of SMCOAD:
  • Attend SMCOAD Meetings
  • Know what you can offer during and after a disaster
  • Review and sign the member agreement
  • Talk with your supervisor about adding SMCOAD to your job description
  • Commit money, man-power, materials, or meeting space
  • Take on leadership responsibilities within SMCOAD or in a Volunteer Reception Center (VRC)
  • Contact your local SMCOAD representative for more information

Benefits of Participation
